Paste a table. Get the two or three charts that actually explain it, and a
written read of what they show. Every figure is calculated here in your browser. Nothing is estimated, and nothing is guessed.
“What is this table actually telling me?”
The shape, the exceptions and the concentration. The things a total and an average
are specifically good at hiding.
“Which chart should this be?”
Chosen from the columns you have, with the reason stated. A date is a line, a category is
ranked bars, and nothing is ever a pie.
“Do these columns even agree with each other?”
Where two columns that normally move together stop doing so, and where a reported
percentage does not reconcile with the figures beside it.
Free. No signup. Your figures never leave your browser: Copy link carries them inside the link itself, so they reach no server and go only where you send it. Two things do leave: what you type into the chat bubble, and a file you ask to be emailed after a download.
Your table
What to paste
Copy straight out of a spreadsheet and paste. Tab, comma, semicolon and pipe all work. One is chosen for the whole table, so a comma inside a description does not
break it. A header row is detected; if there is not one, the columns are numbered and
you are told.
What is read, and how
Currency symbols, thousands separators, percentages, trailing units and accounting
negatives like (1,234) are all understood. Total and Average rows are removed so they
are not counted twice. Every decision of that kind is listed under the box.
What it will not do
It will not draw a trend through too few points, will not total a rate or a
percentage, will not call a correlation a cause, and will not say what a figure
should be. It reports what is there.
Paste it here
Rows stay in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Optional: your specification
A limit or a target is a business decision, so Sheets will not invent one.
Give it either and the matching chart unlocks: limits turn on Process Sigma, a target
draws the target line on the run chart.
What to do, and what the table says
The decisions come first, then the figures they rest on. Every figure
here is computed in your browser and nothing you paste is uploaded. The chat
bubble is the one part of this page that talks to a server, and only what you type into
it is sent.
Everything on this tab as one A4 report. The decisions, the
figures behind them, the ranked findings and every chart. The deck above is the same
analysis, as slides.
