Actual days uses each month’s real length and is correct for counting cash. Normalised gives every month 30.4 days and is correct for comparing them. Otherwise a 28-day February reads about 10% better than January with the business unchanged. Operating cash margin is the cash your operations throw off in a year as a share of revenue; it drives the growth calculation and the 6% default is a placeholder, not a benchmark.
